The Chiruca hiking boots Cares Boa Hi-Vis - GoreTex Verde - Vibram - Green is a semi-high hiking shoe from Spanish brand Chiruca. An A/B hiking shoe that is also used for hunting.

GoreTex membrane

This material keeps it breathable, but also keeps your feet from getting wet by external water. This makes the shoes waterproof from the outside in and breathable on the inside. The Gore-tex membrane consists of a microporous structure that contains more than 1,400 million microscopic pores per cm2. These pores are about 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water. making it impossible for water to pass through the membrane. On the other hand, the membrane's pores are 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapour, allowing sweat to escape to the outside without affecting the membrane's waterproofing. By preventing heat from accumulating, feet stay dry and warm. Gore-Tex offers an ideal combination of optimal comfort and durable protection.

Vibram sole

Vibram guarantees shock absorption, durability, temperature and abrasion resistance, grip and good non-slip behaviour. Because walking on rocks is different from walking on asphalt, Vibram designs specific soles for the different models of Chiruca.

BOA System

A special system that ensures your shoe is securely fastened with an easier way than tying your lace. A metal cable that acts as a lace runs through the shoe by means of a reel system.

Care instructions:

• To give the shoes the best care and prolong their lifespan, Chiruca has provided some care instructions.
• Let the shoe air dry naturally after use. Do not try to speed up the drying process by placing them near a heat source. If you do, you run the risk of drying out or stiffening the leather.
• On the inside, remove the moisture by making a ball of newspaper and putting it inside your shoe (this will remove the moisture from your shoe).
• When they are dry, you can gently brush them to clean them
• Clean them only with a squeezed damp cloth or mild soap solution
• Then lubricate them with a natural cream for leather, this nourishes the leather and prevents cracking (without restricting breathability)
• Use a waterproofing treatment regularly, this repels dirt and stains and helps keep the leather clean and dry
