Leatherman: a globally known brand with world-famous multitools

The Leatherman brand was born because Tim Leatherman visited several hotels with leaky plumbing during a budget trip to Europe in 1975 and needed solutions for the Fiat they were travelling around with. Tom always carried an explorer knife with him and also used it for everything from cutting bread to repairing his car. But each time he missed the pliers. When he returned to the United States, he took the idea of "multi-tool" with the sketches he had made during his trip and with this, the first Leatherman was born. It has since become a brand enjoyed by many enthusiasts.
