SOG: powerful knives and multi-tools for outdoor use

The story of SOG begins in Vietnam where members of a secret US Special Ops team - MACV-SOG - took a self-designed unique combat knife into the jungle. Years later, in 1986, that knife inspired a young designer, Spencer Frazer, to found SOG Specialty Knives. His mission: to reproduce the original SOG Bowie knife and pay tribute to the special unit that created it. What began as a single commemorative model soon became a full range of innovative tools.
