This new felted teddy jacket, made from 100% undyed wool, has a unique look and, thanks to its voluminous knit, provides better insulation and comfortable warmth. At the front, the jacket features a two-way zip fastening, has zipped side pockets and an additional zipped breast pocket. The jacket is available as a unisex style in sizes XS–XXL. The 1946 collection is the result of a complex selection process involving naturally occurring shades that are blended to create a range of natural colours without the use of dyes, chemicals or water. This authentic product is 100% natural and environmentally friendly. The wool is undyed and has a completely natural colour, which means there may be slight variations between different batches.

Wool is a living material that adapts to your body temperature. In warm conditions, moisture and body heat are absorbed by the wool and wicked away from the body. In colder temperatures, heat is retained thanks to the millions of microscopic air pockets that occur naturally in wool. Even when wet (it absorbs 30 per cent of its weight in moisture), the wool keeps you warm. A nice bonus is that wool is naturally odour-resistant.

The wool used by Ivanhoe comes from Europe – genuine wool from real sheep. Lambswool is soft but also a delicate fabric; a blend containing 20 per cent polyamide makes it stronger, more durable and longer-lasting. A newer, even finer boiled lambswool blend comprising 80% lambswool, 18% polyamide and 2% Lycra is a carefully considered combination designed by professional garment makers. Fine and extra-fine merino wool is wonderfully soft and can be worn directly against the skin. The unique merino knit is well-balanced and designed for optimum comfort.

Simply hang the garment out in the fresh air for a while and it will quickly revive, feeling clean and fresh again. When washing, pay close attention to the care instructions in the side seam. Most Ivanhoe items can be machine-washed on the wool cycle at 30°C. If hand-washing, wash gently and rub softly.

Not only will your garment last longer if you treat it as described above, but you’ll also be helping the environment by airing your clothes more often and washing them less frequently.
