The Ivanhoe hand warmer Loden gaters Graphite Marl - One Size - Grey is a nice, sturdy wrist warmer made of felted wool with thumb grips. At the top of the left hand warmer is a small logo. The logo is made of Jacron, a material that looks like leather but is actually a unique paper material.

The great thing about these hand warmers is that there is a thumb hole where your thumb can go through so that it keeps your wrist and hand up to your fingers nice and warm.

A lovely knitted hand warmer with a cool look

Wool is a living material that adapts to your body temperature. In warm temperatures, moisture and body heat are absorbed by the wool and transported away from the body. At colder temperatures, heat is retained by the millions of microscopic air pockets naturally found in wool. Even when wet (absorbs 30% of its weight in moisture), wool keeps you warm. A nice bonus is that the wool is naturally odour-resistant.

The wool used by Ivanhoe is the wool from Europe, real wool from real sheep. The lambswool is soft but also a fragile fabric, a mix with 20% polyamide makes it stronger, more stable and longer to wear. A newer even thinner boiled lambswool in the blend of 80% lambswool, 18% polyamide and 2% lycra is a thoughtful combination designed by professional garment makers. The fine and extra-fine merino wool is a wool that is nice and soft and can be worn directly on the skin. The unique merino knit is balanced and designed for optimal comfort.

Hang the garment in fresh air for a while and the clothes will quickly revive and feel clean and fresh. When washing, pay close attention to the washing instructions in the side seam. Most Ivanhoe items can be machine washed using the 30°C wool programme. When hand-washing, wash carefully and rub gently.
