NikWax Waterproofing additions, because maintenance is important

Last week, our NikWax product range expanded. We had until that time only use NikWax Techwash & Softshell and then the 150 ml container. A fun duo packaging which also was fun to give away. But this product is no longer for the Netherlands delivered so it was time to start looking at other products for maintenance.

For me, not one of the best things to do. Shoes I leave mostly dry, and then beat I the dirt and I think it is good again. My first tent I have ever once injected because he is here and there's some leakage, but it really is a favorite pastime, this is for me certainly not. But it should be in our range so we research.

Very nice that you will encounter then that the inventor of NikWax every year in Scotland, went for a walk. Then you have us, soon all the attention because Scotland is the place of our outdoortrips. He was very unhappy about all the available impregnating agents, and therefore developed his own recipe for the protect of his hiking boots. It had to be water-resistant but not the leather soft so that the support function would come to an end. Nick's wax (hence the name NikWax) was created.

This product for leather is now expanded with a variety of resources for fabrics and leather fibres. The patented NikWax TX. 10i is a water-repellent elastomer which ensures that molecules connect themselves with anything that is not water-repellent, but leave space between the fibers, in order to breathe. The treatments move with the fabric or leather. All have a technical story, but if the water droplets are not on your coat or shoes withdraw but continue to lie really works.

We have the NikWax Techwash and Softshell already used a couple of times. After a season out to have been all softshells (both of us as that of the children) a wash. Because if you're outdoors you should also enjoy it and are not afraid to get dirty.

My own softshell was very dirty after all outdooravonturen, which was really a wash. After a good shower of rain caught in the rain really the jacket in and stayed in the drops not on top. First the coat, washed clean with Techwash and then (without first having to dry) immediately again washed with the soft-shell bottle. This was really super. Now I could have my coat back to good use with all outdooravonturen. Great if you like your stuff a onderhoudsbeurtje can give!
